Privacy
This page explains what data The Underground Atlas collects and how it is used.
What is published
Only after approval: artist name, genres, city and country, approximate location (about 1 km), links to Instagram and Spotify/YouTube, and optionally a public place you provide.
What is not published
Your email address is used only by the site operator to contact you about your submission. It does not appear on the map and is not returned by the public APIs. The optional monthly listeners declaration also stays private.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the submission form.
Map visitors
The map does not require registration, and this site uses no tracking cookies or analytics tools. The map tiles are provided by Stadia Maps and OpenStreetMap: your browser requests them directly from their servers, which can see your IP address. For the city search in the form, the text you search for is sent to Nominatim through this site's server.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data and to be removed from the map, using the contact form (choose "Profile removal" or "Data update").
Contact form
If you write through the contact form, your name, email, request type and message are saved, along with the date. Only the site operator reads them and replies by email. They are not published or shared.
Retention
Data is kept for as long as the project is on the map. Rejected submissions may be deleted by the site operator. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request.
