Rules
The Underground Atlas collects underground music projects from all over the world. To keep it useful and safe, these rules apply.
Who can appear
This atlas is dedicated to independent and underground projects. As a general guideline rather than a strict rule, listed projects typically have under 30,000 monthly listeners.
- Real music projects.
- Each project can be submitted only once, by the people involved or with their consent.
- The artist name must be the one the project releases its music under.
Location
- Give only the city. The pin is rounded to about 1 km.
- Do not enter your home address.
- An exact place is optional and must be a public place: rehearsal room, studio, venue.
Links
- Every project needs at least one social link (Instagram, Facebook or TikTok) and at least one music link (Spotify, Bandcamp or YouTube).
- Links must start with https:// and use the official domains: instagram.com, facebook.com, tiktok.com, open.spotify.com, youtube.com, youtu.be or a bandcamp.com subdomain.
- Links must lead to the project's profile or music page.
Content that is not allowed
- Incitement to hatred or violence against people or groups.
- Personal data of third parties, private addresses, information shared without consent.
- Spam, advertising, false information or profiles that impersonate others.
Moderation
Every submission is reviewed before it is published. A submission may be rejected or edited, and a project that is already published may be removed if it breaks these rules. Because the 30,000-listener figure is a guideline, the operator may accept a project above it, or decline one below it, depending on whether it fits the independent and underground spirit. The "verified" badge means the project's identity has been checked by the site operator.
